If one or more teeth are missing, a titanium screw (implant) can be inserted into the bone. It represents a replacement for the root of a tooth or a supporting tooth when it comes to a bridge. The advantage of implants is that it is not necessary to grind the surrounding healthy teeth. In the absence of the entire tooth row, a minimum of four implants are installed. After acceptance and attachment of the implant to the bone, a prosthodontic restoration is made on the implants as supports.
